Overview
The Hinze Dam Stage 3 Upgrade was designed to double the capacity of south east Queensland’s water supply. DecoTEC was engaged to modify the existing concrete spillway so that the wall could be built higher. From drilling 25m deep core holes within confined spaces to deconstructing the existing 4 span bridge, DecoTEC were able to do all of the modifications required. In addition to this, there was significant wire sawing, wall sawing, hydraulic bursting and various other cutting & lifting activities over the span of the project.
