Overview
The Overseas Passenger Terminal upgrade required the existing wharf to be modified. 75no. concrete wharf nibs were wire sawn and removed to make way for the extension. Access limitations were overcome by developing a methodology that allowed all concrete cutting activities to be performed from the hardstand above. The work was performed in an incredibly environmentally sensitive area therefore to eliminate any negative impact to Sydney Harbour a mobile slurry containment system was fabricated.
