Overview
The decommissioning of WP0117 included 17no. wire saw cuts through up to 2.1m diameter steel pipes situated within 10m2 of concrete. In addition to this 90m3 of concrete anchor block was removed. The detailed demolition works required a high level of planning and control to ensure the adjacent heritage listed pump house was not damaged.
The project was a huge success with all steel pipe and concrete being removed without compromising the pump house.
